How we can help
University Coaching
Our university coaching helps ensure you have a smooth transition from school or college into university and reduces the stress and anxiety associated with finding how you fit in on campus.
University Choice Support
If you’re struggling to decide between multiple university offers, we can help you sift through the benefits and drawbacks of each offer to help you decide which university will be the best fit for you.
Personal Statement Crafting
Your personal statement helps you give universities the full picture of who you are and what drives you. Getting help crafting a clear narrative about your experiences and goals can improve your chances of receiving an offer to university.
If you are a first-generation university student, care-experienced, estranged from your family, or a displaced/forced migration student, reach out to us at carly@myacademicfamily.org.uk and we can chat about services with no cost to you.

What can My Academic Family do for you?
Working with My Academic can help reduce the amount of stress, anxiety, and confusion you experience as you learn to navigate the university environment. Our support is based off personal experience in successfully completing university degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including doctoral. Our coaches and mentors are friendly, capable, and dependable. They can put their experience to work for you, helping you better understand how to navigate the university environment and make the most of your time at university. We call this learning ‘How to University’.
University coaching and mentorship can help you discover what kind of resources and supports are available at your university, develop an effective study/life balance, and help you communicate well with your course convenor, and even more.
