Services

We have a range of different services available, including University Coaching, University Choice Support, and Personal Statement Crafting.

Our University Coaching helps ensure a smooth transition from school or college into university and success in navigating the new environment.

Our University Choice Support is perfect if you’re struggling to decide between multiple university offers - our expert coaches will sift through the benefits and drawbacks of each offer to help you decide which offer is the best fit for you!

We also offer online Personal Statement Writing Workshops - getting help crafting a clear narrative of your experiences and goals within your personal statement improves your chances of receiving an offer from your first choice university!

More Information

We also have digital resources available, such as our free University Application Checklist and our full, comprehensive University Application Guide.

Our digital resources have been expertly crafted to provide the most important information about the university application process and are kept up to date with the most recent information for each application year.

We also provide many free resources on our social media platforms, including our Encyclopedia of University Terms - a series we have been working on for over 3 years.

Members of our Patreon will get early access to our resources, as well as a growing collection of exclusive resources.

The Mentorship Programme

My Academic Family is incredibly proud to offer a Mentorship Programme for first-generation, care-experienced, estranged, or displaced students (including refugees and asylum seekers).

This Mentorship Programme helps students succeed by pairing them with volunteers who have already completed their university studies in similar fields. Students should feel supported throughout their time at university and this programme gives them someone with the experience to help them navigate university culture, identify and take advantage of opportunities available to them and succeed in attaining their degree.

Our volunteer mentors have all completed their university degrees as well as a training programme provided by us and accredited by the Scottish Mentoring Network’s Quality Award.

We are able to provide these services thanks to our incredible volunteers, the money that we make through our paid services, and kind donations from our sponsors.

If you or someone you know is eligible and interested in this programme, please fill out the form on screen now and we will be in touch.
